 It is hard to believe that five years have gone by since we first opened the doors to students at Northrise University (NU). Fifty, very excited students walked through the doors of Caravelle House (home of NU) in 2004 and embarked on a journey that they would not forget for the rest of their lives. Since then we have graduated seventy-four students in Information Technology (IT) and Theology at the Associate of Arts or Diploma level. Many of these graduates have found jobs and are supporting their families and others in their communities. In April this year we graduated the very first four-year class with degrees in IT and Theology. In addition to these two programs, we have added four-year programs in Business Administration, Finance and Accounting, Project Management and also a Master in Business Administration at postgraduate level. Plans are under way for the School of Agriculture.
Northrise Farms is also making tremendous progress by completing the farm structures including the abattoir. We harvested four acres of bananas and the first batch of chickens has been sold and now progressing in the sales of the second batch. The student dormitory has been completed and has since been occupied by students. The Business building construction is proceeding at roof level and on schedule.
